Virtual Commissioning is a full-time, independent third-party commissioning firm. With over 40 years of experience, we've worked in thousands of buildings. Along the way, our team has commissioned or retro-commissioned hundreds of projects - ranging in size up to three (3) million square feet. Project commissioning values have ranged from as low as $1500 to over $3,000,000.

Virtual Commissioning was founded in 2007, by Mark Walter and Alex Walter. Both had worked for a large national commissioning firm prior to starting VirtualCx.
We believe in the value of strong field experience as well as a robust background in BMS/controls. Mark's background is in controls. In addition to their commissioning skills, both Alex and Mark's other son Lucas are also qualified BMS/controls techs. Mark's nephew has a commissioning firm in the Washington, DC area. Our family is notably committed to the industry.

VirtualCx has continually sustained that vision, providing services for private and public entities throughout the nation, including owners, architects, contractors, engineering firms and construction managers.
We enjoy buildings and commissioning, and look forward to a chance of working with you.
